Stadionul Moldova

Speia was once a living town with 14.500 inhabitants. Nowadays, the town at the banks of the Nistru River is a lost place, only 2.850 people remain there. You would wonder why there is such a big stadium in this area. The Stadionul Moldova was once a very important venue for international matches in Moldova. F.C. Zimbru and the national team played many important matches in this stadium before games where more and more postponed to the Stadionul Republican in Chişinău or the newer venues in the capital or in Tiraspol.
