The club F.C. Nistru Ciobruciu played the 1991 season in Divizia A and received promotion to the top level. After the season 1995/1996 the club had to play a relegation match with F.C. Atilla from Ungheni. F.C. Nistru didn´t show up and the mach was awarded for the club from Ungheni. After that year, one could never hear again something from the club. Only in 2009 another team in Ciobruciu appeared:
