The only time that the blue-whites made headlines was when they withdrew from the championship of Divizia A during the winter break in 2005/2006. However, one year later FC Otaci could receive the promotion to second level again.

 

The stadium, which is officially called Stadionul Sel'skiy, does not lie directly in Otaci, but in the village of Călărăşăuca. This is the Romanian local name. The Russian transcription is: Calaraşovca (Каларашовка). A minibus connects the nearby village regulary. The ground is located directly on the banks of the Nistru River. It has just one terrace with a little building in the middle.
